My daughter and I just finished shelling these. The harvest was perhaps a month ago already. Our seasonality is quite different from many, I’ve found. We’ll be sowing a second season of summer squash in another few weeks and putting out broccoli transplants shortly after that.

It’s nice to at least think about winter soups as I try out my different gazpacho recipes…
I have never found an appreciation for cold soup… I can understand the appeal in high summers such as ours.
