Chard Jan20 by plumdirt I think this plant should work harder. It obviously has no idea how to make leaves big enough… AdvertisementShare this:TwitterFacebookLike this:Like Loading...
Haha! The size of most greens scream out, “Eat me! I’m the most delicious, most nutritious thing around!” I believe ’em. I especially like the bug-pocked ones.
The bugs all know which are the tastiest!
Totally jealous. I have no chard overwintering, for the first time in years…
Enjoy it! 🙂
It became good friends with some bacon, carrots, and eggs.
My chard decided not to grow this year. I now know which bed doesn’t get enough light in the winter. Not really a problem because I have several pounds of it blanched and in the freezer waiting to be mixed into a lasagna or soup.
How long do you blanch it for?
