Before I go… Jun11 by plumdirt The garden is giving quite the hurrah before giving in fully to the summer heat. AdvertisementShare this:TwitterFacebookLike this:Like Loading...
I’m equal parts congratulations and envy; I have too much shade for a vegetable garden.
Did you have your eye on any nearby trees? 😉
That would make a great composition for a painting! Yes, summer is a time for harvest only — zero work. Just too hot (and here, humid). Happy Summer!
Happy summer! I think I’m going to try and sneak in a few black-eyed peas a7’s a few more okra… I can’t stand bare earth and besides, it only cooks the worms to let the earth stay exposed…
I was smart to plug a few okra seeds at the school gardens for summer; I have a key for entry and harvest! I have been unable to grow here due to the growing deer herd. Black-eyes peas .. mmm. Haven’t thought about growing those. Have you had success?
I haven’t tried yet but will let you know! A co-worker says hers last summer didn’t even blink at the 100 degree days.
