I think I’ve sown sunflower seeds seven different times over the past nine years. Only one of those was the first, but the seventh was another first – the first successful year.
And here we are.

The deer are nibbling on the sunflowers sown in my yard. Like the eggplant, I’m afraid they won’t have a chance to grow up.
But at least I get to enjoy a proxy garden full of wild sunflowers — at the elementary school. Kudos!
Last year was my first “wild singer” year thanks to, I assume, the birds. It reseeded and is working its way skyward. They’re so cheerful, I’ll always have room for a few.
Happy Face, and not put on! Cheers!
Meant to write: A happy face! (and not “put on”) .Oh well. Cheers still.
A happy face that makes for happy faces 🙂
