He’s come long way from the 2″ pot twelve years ago. Surviving the odyssey in the back of an old Ford through Death Valley in August. Landing in a sink of steaming hot soapy water (and coming out swinging.) Cats and dogs and freezes and forgetfulness have all taken their pot shots and here he stands. And there stand his progeny in the nearby pots.
Love that you name your plants too!
The trees and pots tend to get named. The veggies and annuals not so much.
They are a bit harder to get attached to when you plan to set them right from the moment of conception ☺️
Ha! True
I use to name my plants-. I had a plant named “monica” and she travelled with me from college apartments to my first apartment after college….some others were named, but I don’t remember. I don’ t have any house plants anymore, but I do name my tree “old Gal” in my yard:-) I always tend to make them female:-) LOL I like Napoleon + what a beautiful plant!
Napoleon is from my first apartment in college! I had Heidi the hydrangea in my dorm and she survived another five years or so in her pot before accidentally baking one summer on the balcony. Strawberry Steve (from that same first apartment) didn’t survive the four day journey to Texas in the back of a pick-up in August.
lol:-) love your names! priceless:-)
