Three dead rats (I believe Norway rats) in 24 hours. No broccoli this year. Half or more the cauliflower gone. And possibly 30% of the Brussels sprout plants beyond recovery.

And I’m really truly sorry about the rats – it’s incredibly disheartening. I have those horrible Norway rats, too, in the winter, but come spring, the very large rat snake in my yard along with some very helpful owls keep them in check.
